Last week, after I wrote about Dropbox — the startup that makes a free online hard drive — I got a call from one of Dropbox’s rivals, a startup called Memeo. Memeo provides products for essentially any back-up or data syncing situation. Memeo provides the tech behind the free online hard drive Google provides Google Docs users, for example. Who knew online storage was such a hot space?

We are pleased to announce that Valley Loop has a new partner-blog: Lalawag.com. Lalawag is LA’s top tech & culture blog, and we’re exited that it’s the newest member of Valley Girl’s growing network of sites. The blog was founded by Sean Persival and Laurie Persival. Sean is currently the VP of Marketing at MySpace, and the Percivals will remain involved as a regular contributors to lalawag.
